Esmail Fallah-Sohy, MD

Medical Director

 

Dr. Fallah-Sohy graduated from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran in 1970. He has a private practice in Norwood, MA and specializes in Internal Medicine and Hematology. Dr. Fallah-Sohy has been in practice 47 years and is affiliated with Norwood Hospital.  

Min Keung Song, MD

Assistant Medical Director

 

We are proud to announce our partnership with Dr. Min Keung Song.
Dr.Song, MD, MPH, CMD currently serves as the Geriatric Medical Director at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital- Milton. He specializes in geriatric primary care, consultation, and long-term care with previous experience working in hospice. Dr. Song maintains a primary care practice on-site at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. 

Bency Punnose, RN

Director of Nursing Services

 

Ms. Punnose comes to The Ellis with over 30 years of nursing experience.   She received her RN degree from the Army Medical Corps in India and served as a Regional Clinical Nurse Consultant.  At part of the A. Franchi Health Care family, Ms. Punnose served for 13 years as Director of Nursing at our sister facility in Waltham -  Meadow Green Rehab & Nursing Center.

Ms. Punnose’s dedication and expertise were instrumental in achieving many quality certifications and awards while in her position at Meadow Green.  Her success included eleven MA Dept. of Public Health Deficiency Free Surveys in 13 years, the AHCA Quality Award, the Joint Commission Gold Seal and the Joint Commission Rehabilitation and Advanced Care Certification.  Ms. Punnose was personally recognized in 2011 with the Circle of Excellence Award by the National Association of Director of Nurses (NADONA).  In 2012, she was awarded the prestigious Nurse Administrator of the Year award for the Northeast Region of the U.S. 
 

As Director of Nursing, Ms. Punnose hires and supervises all nursing staff members, organizes patient care and training and is responsible for the overall quality of nursing care at The Ellis.  Under the guidance of Ms. Punnose, we look forward to implementing innovative best practices and continual improvement of nursing protocols resulting in an increased level of quality medical care and supervision.

Kristen Lewis

Director of Admissions & Case Management

Kristen comes to The Ellis with over 17 years experience in Admissions.  She managed admissions for 14 years at a skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility in Newton and has over 10 years experience as a Case Manager.  Kristen has a degree in Social Work from Syracuse University and specializes in gerontology.  She enjoys helping others in the community with their transition from home life to community life.  Kristen's ability to assist families and residents with sometimes difficult situations makes her uniquely qualified to manage admissions and enhance case management.
   
In her spare time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff and 2 children, Kylie and Brendon.

Diane Kuzio, PT

Director of Rehabilitation

 

Diane graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Her background includes clinical experience in cardiac, stroke, sports medicine, and mental retardation as well as direct therapy services in a skilled nursing and rehab environment. Diane became a manager of rehabilitation in 1993 and has continued to manage and provide services in geriatric nursing and rehabilitation. “ I found my passion working with geriatric patients in 1991. My goal is to have all patients return to their highest level of function by providing services in a positive and enriching environment.”

Sharon Hines

Activities Director

 

Sharon has been a certified Activity Director for over 15 years. She has extensive experience working with individuals with dementia. She also leads a monthly Alzheimer support group that helps families to cope and understand the disease process. “Focusing on an individual’s strength as opposed to their weakness is the key to your loved one’s health and happiness. This is their home “away” from home, and as a team, we strive to provide a comfortable and family like atmosphere. This is not just a job to me. This is a way of life that I have chosen and truly enjoy.”

Andrea Riobe

Food Service Director

Andrea is a reliable and experienced Food Service Director who manages our Dining Room services and creates innovative menus for residents.  She is adept at maintaining a reliable serving staff and acts as the liaison between the staff and residents.  She is a most welcome addition to the staff here at The Ellis!
